Residents tap a card or phone, grab whatever they want, and walk out. The store charges them automatically on exit, with no line, no cashier, and no app to download. For student housing it fits how students actually live: open at 2 a.m. for a drink, a snack, or a charger they forgot, stocked for move-in week, and a few steps from their door every day of the year. SMV curates the selection for a student community and tunes it to what residents buy, then handles all of the stocking, cleaning, and service. Does it use facial recognition?

Students are sharp about surveillance, and they should be. A Smart Store uses product recognition, not facial recognition: no camera analyzes people, and no resident images are stored. Full detail on privacy and security.

Try it for 90 days

What if residents do not love it?

We install it and run it for 90 days. If residents do not love it, we remove it and restore the space. No cost, no penalty. Given how student communities use a store that never closes, the hard part is usually keeping it stocked.

SMV does, on a regular route. Your team never operates it. If something sells out we restock it, if something does not sell we swap it, and if anything breaks we fix it, fast and in person.
How much space does it need?
About the footprint of a large fridge, a standard power outlet nearby, and wifi. We confirm the exact placement, power, and spot at the fit check before anything is installed.
Is the community protected on insurance?
Yes. SMV is a fully insured business, and our coverage protects the community.
